Project Description: HB Fleming installed a 240-foot sheet pile wall to support a 60-foot-deep excavation, next to fast-moving traffic on I-89. The sheet pile wall was designed to accommodate a future phase, in which the other side of I-89 will be excavated.
Challenge: A culvert failed 60 feet beneath I-89, causing the road to settle.
Solution: We chose to install an anchored sheet pile to meet the project schedule.
